The main difference are in the "modem" used and the provisioning
by the ISP. Most of these differences show up in the details of
configuring the modem. Genraly FreeBSD itself does not impact the
issue at all except that the ISP will only answer questions for
"windows based systems". So if you need to ask FreeBSD questions
their tier1 techs might tell you that you are unsupported.
