That is how I found the hooks too...  However, the one hook that I
like to use most does not work on FreeBSD; to redefine the
make_resolv_conf function which gets called right after everything has
been set up.  Last time I checked the ISC source, it was botched for
all platforms but NetBSD.

I wish someone would commit the obvious fix for this (bin/15046).
