Ok :-)  We only run some small sites and i've never noticed any problems
with this (and do keep a close eye on logs) but thanks, point taken.

From what I could gather from that, adding SIGUSR1 (30) to the newsyslog
entries will ensure graceful shutdown of any active children - right?
