Has anyone ever tried to use a Gateway 2000 computer that has a "RIDE" BIOS. I believe it was GW's attempt at IDE improvements (Rapid IDE) before EIDE. I know, this computer's just an old 486, but it'll make a heck of an IP router... The reason why I ask is that the install is failing after partitioning and formatting, just as the base (bin/aa) packages are extracting. I think it might be a write vs. BIOS issue. -- Chad Dubuque cdubuque@rrnet.com +1-701-232-2227 Red River Net - Internet Communications http://www.rrnet.com/ To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hardware" in the body of the message
