Hello, I am configuring two machines as *fast* workstations (they will also be used for floating point computing - a.k.a. "number crunching" ;-) ). I am starting from the Gigabyte 7DX mobo (AMD 761 chipset), fitted with an AMD Athlon @1.2GHz/266MHz FSB, and 512MB of PC2100/DDR266 memory. Should I expect any problems running FreeBSD 4.2-STABLE on these machines? My experience with the Gigabyte 7ZX mobo (VIA KT133) and Athlon/Duron 700-800MHz CPUs is very good, but now we are talking of higher clock frequencies and the new DDR memory. Just wondering.
