For those craving a bit more publicity for FreeBSD, a nice
dose in "Computer Shopper".

FreeBSD got a fairly positive four-page writeup in March 1998 "Computer
Shopper" (just out) This is a fairly popular PC-oriented magazine in the UK.
Anyway, on p. 789, Mike James runs through acquisition, installation and
general use of FreeBSD. He compares it to a well-known public-domain unix clone
and phrases like "fewer minor irritations", "fewer glitches and peculiarities",
"more polished", "more stable", "fewer rough edges", "mission-critical" pop up.

Buy that man a pint! I wonder if Mike James was put on to FreeBSD by
somebody or he just stumbled over it. This is the first dedicated
FreeBSD write-up I've seen in the UK, so maybe the time has come.

Computer Shopper has a few good columns and reviews, but more noted for
the very comprehensive advertising bumpf. It's literally
about 80% adverts. Which makes it a nice resource for
doing price comparisons for commodity items.
