Tagging this one with my personal gnugrep-only tag. Tentatively keeping it open
for now, because I need to think about how to manage gnugrep only bugs on older
branches. Switching older branches (11.x and 12.x) to bsdgrep by default will
likely not be feasible, but we should perhaps come up with a good/easy
migration that can be done at runtime by sysadmin/user.
