Diff with Symlinks happens to be very convenient for me. The implementation is probably a consequence of how some standard Unix Systems Command works. But obviously it would be an idea to switch it off by default, while leaving the user with the existing option. Another issue would be getting Recursive diff to work for Non-Root users without being needlessly obstructed by Permissions.
