Running FreeBSD 3.4-RELEASE. I installed the tcp_wrappers port, and it's all working well, other than FTP. my inetd.conf file has > ftp stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/libexec/tcpd ftpd -l and hosts.allow has > ftpd : ALL : allow Yet any host that tries to ftp in is denied. Any ideas? I'm assuming the ftpd keyword isn't right, since sendmail and ssh worked without any problem through tcpd. I tried ftp, ftpd, in.ftp, in.ftpd... none worked. I shouldn't need to -HUP inetd when I change that file, right? thanks, Brian To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
