I have a pioneer quad cdrom attached to a diamond soundcard (yeah, I know it is BAD) that works great with dos/win3.1 I ordered the FreeBSD 2.2.1 cd's from Walnut Creek, but I can't get my current FreeBSD (also 2.2.1-R) to recognize the CD. setup: 486dx/2 50mhz 24 meg ram adaptec scsi 152x controller (for Microtec E3 scanner) GSI 32 model 32 controller WD 1.6 gig hd attached to gsi (Master) WD 420 meg hd attached to gsi (solely for FreeBSD) (Slave) Pioneer DR-UA 124X (now on slave, but have also tried master)- atapi Diamond (soundblaster) card with cd attached to it Win3.1 and OS/2 Warp3 on 1.6 hd I would hate to return the cd's because very often I lose connection to IP. That was the reason for buying them in the first place. Anybody have any luck with this cd? Perhaps I should move FreeBSD to large hd and move os/2 to smaller hd so that I could use the cd/dos to move files to hd???? Thanks, Mike -- ---------------------------------------------------------- THIS MACHINE IS POWERED BY OS/2 WARP and FreeBSD me@corecom.net http://www.corecom.net/endsley/ -----------------------------------------------------------
