Hi One think I hate in 2.8 gnome is too long delays while printing initialization with cups enabled. in my setup there is only printer enabled in cups (and several installed but not enabled) on gnumeric start or on evolution print dialog it spend long time to ask something in cups ... if i disable cups with (.../etc/rc.d/cups.sh stop) it starts as desired I guess situation can be easy repeated with installing cups and configuration of any remote printer (even not present) in it. -- Vladimir B.
