https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=196287 Bug ID: 196287 Summary: Handbook: 12.13.2.2. Suspend/Resume, wrong suggested hw.acpi.reset_video value Product: Documentation Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Documentation Assignee: freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org Reporter: acheron.blackflow@gmail.com https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/acpi-overview.html 12.13.2.2. Suspend/Resume 10th paragraph (including the two code boxes) the sentence before last "Try setting hw.acpi.reset_video to 0 if the display is messed up after resume." Should suggest setting to 1 instead of 0. From acpi(4): hw.acpi.reset_video Reset the video adapter from real mode during the resume path. Some systems need this help, others have display problems if it is enabled. Default is 0 (disabled). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
