I had posted this about a week ago, but no suggestions, I did notice
however that when it locks up a drive and SCSI controller both have their
activity lights lit.

Bugs in the SCSI code under heavy load?

--

The hardware consists of a pair of 2.1 ST32151W drives on an AHA-2940UW
controller.

Everything works a-okay for a day or two, then the machine freezes for no
apparent reason (usually during the expire), no error messages in the log
or on the console, it just locks up, but...

the same hardware was in use without CCD for a while, and it worked well,
no freezing.

The operating system: FreeBSD 2.1.5-Release was in use in both cases.

Suggestions welcomed!
