I did look at the comments in the top part and didn't see any mention of mariadb, so I (foolishly) assumed that it wasn't relevant. Mea Culpa, and thanks for fixing it. OTOH, since I've been working on this for a while, with real repo-copies and everything, you could have said something. :) Meanwhile, it looks like I can set "WITH_MYSQL_VER= 52" in /etc/make.conf to use mariadb to satisfy mysql-related dependencies, is that right? If so, that's a good thing and saves me some work. But one thing I'm curious about, you have the following in the mysql*-server ports: .if !defined(CLIENT_ONLY) USE_MYSQL= yes WANT_MYSQL_VER= 55 Does that need to be added to the mariadb-server port? What are the ramifications of having it or not having it?
