Works to open items, but I guess perhaps a symptom of --no-shm is that the
preview is not generated for files in the open dialog until you actually op=
en
the file. Previews that have been generated by opening the file persist bey=
ond
relaunching the application -- so they are likely being stored in an on-disk
cache. However, they aren't generating on-the-fly in the open dialog as they
have in the past (instead displaying a message "cannot create preview" as a
placeholder until you open the file).
