The PR says:

> If the psm driver detects this at boot:
> psm0: <PS/2 Mouse> irq 12 on atkbdc0
> psm0: model 4D+ Mouse, device ID 8

This leads me to believe, this PR is related to the reports of
Dominik Brettnacher on the hardware list:

http://docs.freebsd.org/cgi/getmsg.cgi?fetch=0+0+archive/2003/freebsd-hardware/20030427.freebsd-hardware

http://docs.freebsd.org/cgi/getmsg.cgi?fetch=10310+0+archive/2003/freebsd-hardware/20030504.freebsd-hardware

Unfortunately I don't have a recently cvsup'ed 5.x machine at hand to
test the Typhoon mouse with. I'm going to try Dominik's patch and
possibly reinstall the FreeBSD side of my notebook as well (currently
a 5.0-RELEASE).

Greetings,
