Can we please move forward on this?  I can guarantee you that if you try to
commit or submit a patch to make the kernel lie about the stripe size, the GEOM
/ CAM / ATA maintainers will tell you to go pound sand.  If the problem is that
you don't want bsdinstall to use a different default alignment than gpart, then
heck, let's apply the same patch to gpart.  But we NEED THIS.  It will go in,
one way or the other.
