NO. The 2200BG adapter is different from the 2100. The ipw driver will not work with 2200BG adapters. ----- (it is still in FAQ),=20 but they has good news: ----- September 15, 2004 First association to a 802.11g access point and first packets sent/received with the iwg driver! There is still a lot of work to do but I hope I'll be able to release a first beta for the beginning of next week! There will be less pre-releases than for ipw, the first version of iwg will already support WEP and radiotap! The first version of iwg will support FreeBSD-CURRENT and NetBSD-CURRENT.=20 September 04, 2004 I've made a lot of progress in writing a driver for Intel=AE PRO/Wireless 2200BG and 2915ABG network adapters! It will probably be another driver (named iwg?) because there are some important differences between the 2100 and the 2200BG/2915ABG adapters that makes it impossible to merge into a single driver. The way the firmware is downloaded to the adapter is completely different (2200BG/2915ABG adapters use DMA transfers) and the structures are different too.=20 ----- So, I hope driver will be available in near future. Also, I hope driver will be commited into FreeBSD-CURRENT --=20 Vladimir B. Grebenchikov vova@fbsd.ru
