Try using my Motif-ified JDK port at: ftp://hub.freebsd.org/pub/incoming/java/jdk1.1.5.tar.gz This is based on both Keith and Damon's patches, but is linked against a version of Motif that can be distributed safely. Running your test program with that version on my 2.2.5 box works fine, as well as do *much* more complicated programs. (I do Java programming for a living. :) Nate
