IT doesn't use OpenGL, but instead uses the 3dfx Glide library.
Of course, this means you will need a Voodoo{1,2,3,Rush,Banshee}
card or similar (e.g. Diamond Monster 3D in its various
incarnations) to use it.
The good news is that the Glide library is in the FreeBSD ports
collection!!! (/usr/ports/graphics/linux_glide). And since I happen to
have a Voodoo I (yeah, the original Diamond Monster 3D.. old
school) sitting in my machine, I will give it a shot and keep you (and the
list) posted as to how it works.
BTW - the demo version does not have 3D rendering support, you need the
commercial version (which I also have) to use Glide.
