Hello, I have 2 USB pens that FreeBSD 5.4 is unable to detect on one computer. I have 2 partitions on this computer, one with Windows XP and one with FreeBSD 5.4. The Windows XP detects the USB pens without any problem. FreeBSD acts as if they are not present. I have also checked BIOS settings to make sure USB is enabled. However, on one of my other FreeBSD 5.4 computers, both pens are detected when I connect them. The computer that is not able to detect the pens is an IBM NetVista S42 (8319-74G). I am including dmesg output. I've tried alot of things, without any luck. I am not an expert with FreeBSD, so I am hoping to get some advice or hint on here, as a last hope :-) I would be very happy if I could get the USB pens to work on this computer. Also according to dmesg output, my USB ports seem to be detected as 1.0. It should be USB 2.0. Not sure why they are detected as 1.0. PS: I connected a Soundblaster Live! 24 bit USB device to this computer, and FreeBSD detected it. It's just the USB pens... :-( Any ideas?
