Unfortunately it's available in binary form only (the Linux binary runs well under FreeBSD), and it's shareware -- the unregistered version has some limitations, and a registration code isn't cheap (BTW, Altavista is a great thing... ;-) The latest version is 2.72, available from ftp://ftp.iis.fhg.de/pub/layer3 or something like that, but I had trouble convincing it that it is registered, so I'm still using 2.71.
