For ports, it is probably WITH_DEBUG=yes, but check it. For src, do cd /usr/src (cd lib/libc && make DEBUG_FLAGS=-g all install) (cd lib/libthr && make DEBUG_FLAGS=-g all install) (cd libexec/rtld-elf && make DEBUG_FLAGS=-g all install)
