This is when you have: hw.pcic.intr_path=1 hw.pcic.irq=0 in '/boot/loader.conf' & boot messages then report 'Polling Mode' for pcicX, yes? This seems to make little or no difference for me, other than, without it (e.g. when using a shared int 10), kernel will complain that it can't set up fast interrupts for an inserted pccard modem and is using normal ones.
