My particular network setup requires DHCP, and when the boot process attempts to start the DHCP client, my adapter does not receive an address. Strangely enough, when booting with the GENERIC kernel, I have no such issues - my adapter gets an IP address just fine. My PC has a 3com 3c905c network adapter installed. I have added the following entries to my kernel configuration file to support it: device miibus device xl I have also attached my kernel config file in hopes it will be of some use. Any thoughts or insights are most definitely appreciated! Thanks in advance. Jason A.
