Yes, this is what I was seeing. Except, my disks never recover from
this and required reboot. May be, CAM handles them better and
manages to avoid rebooting.

My tests for the CCD partition was to simply extract huge
tarballs on it -- no buildwolrds...

My benchmark is to "cd /usr/ports; make clean" -- try it :)
