Yes, that's what I thought as well. Moreover, I notice my card 
identifies as Texas Instruments TSB43AB22/A, not TSB43AA22 - maybe 
there's some slight difference in registers or something else that 
might cause the driver not to clear interrupts.

I didn't try connecting a device, didn't think it might make a 
difference; I'll try and let you know. Also, I'll try again without the 
network pccard adapter which is sharing the same IRQ.
