Ok, I had an old install of openssl from the ports collection and once I
uninstalled it, the compile worked as expected.  I have updated all my issu=
es,
and even found some good old cruft in my /etc/make.conf that was causing is=
sues
for years.=20=20

NO BUG, problem is the user.

Please close this, as it is not a bug, it is a human issue.
