Good heavens.  Where to begin?  Actually, start at linuxdevices.com for
some ideas.

I do recall that there was one really cool format called a "DIN rail
computer" that was for industrial uses but had dual intel nics that would
work perfectly for a small firewall.  It was the size of a matchbox,
aproxx 2x3x4".

At linuxdevices.com there is actually a purpose built small firewall that
is something like 3x5x8.
