As far as books go, my favorite is FreeBSD An Open Source Operating System For Your Personal Computer. By Annelise Anderson. This is the book that actually got me using FreeBSD and I have not used anything else since then. I have a couple others but this book and the Handbook are all I have needed to keep me up and running. Well and a little help from online groups.
