hey, I'm just the messenger ... I don't even work in the same division as the
network peripherals people much less know who to talk to about it. Yes, I
work for the company, but I do not condone the act of keeping all this hardware
information "secret" ... after having been screwed on many projects over this
very issue, you'd think the "suits" would figure it out, but alas, they don't.

DOH! In network card drivers, linux kernel code, and gory FreeBSD internals,
yes. In ASIC design, VHDL synthesis, and working on old Mustangs, no. ;-)
