If you need to reinstall all ports, there is another option: 1. Create meat-ports which lists all applications you need to be installed: http://blog.shatow.net/posts/2013-07-21-managing-role-based-freebsd-servers-with-meta-packages-and-poudriere/ 2. Delete all packages (except sudo if you rely on it). 3. Install this metaport.
