At least, that's my educated guess. IIRC, iX-Systems uses (and sponsors) iocage (previously "warden"). Doubtlessly, other vendors/integrator have their own tools for managing jai= ls - some may be in-house. Maybe there was a tendency not to create too much overlapping functionality= in the base-system. It would be interesting to know if any of these vendors would be affected.
