Since many people from this list have asked where they can download the 
program, I'll post here.

Rain sends HLT instructions to your CPU when it's idle.  This lowers 
the temperature of the processor and thus assists stability on systems 
that typically run hot.  

Q: What about a FreeBSD version?
A: FreeBSD (and other OSs designed to be run in a 24/7 uptime environment) 
enable this by default in the kernel.
