It has saved me from tag typos on a slow link that would have
otherwise deleted large chunks of my local source tree.

Because of the slow link, recovering from this deletion would
have required considerable time.

I think people are seriously glossing over the fact that FreeBSD
is used as a platform for other projects, which allow AnonCVS,
and face this deletion problem.
