uh, I thought it would be "env EDITOR=/usr/bin/vi" ??? I did a "man export" and didn't find anything. Also, I looked all over for ee--it seems to me that something has to set ee to the global default? Anyway, thanks, I appreciate the help. A lot of this is new to me.
