I bought a book (after reading some reviews) from SAMS, FreeBSD Unleashed by Michael Urban and Brian Tiemann and since then I'm not alone in the dark anymore. It is truly a guide to FreeBSD and helped me many times to overcome difficulties, apart from reading the online Free BSD Handbook.
