If a crash _does_ occur/recur, then maybe test for reproducibility with this in
your /boot/loader.conf

(Be prepared for significantly reduced performance after restarting with SMP

This is a gut feeling, more than anything (apologies for the noise), partly
based on experiences with virtual hardware …
