Hi everyone,

first of all, let me express my condolences to those who are victims of
this terrible incident and to all relatives.

Sorry again, this is definitely OT on this list. However, most of us are
paralyzed and probably in deep concern about this.

I speak here as a private person, as a european in addition.

I understand that recreating the symbols of the american growth and
success is a very human thing to do. However, in my oppinion many, many
other things take much higher priority. The United States are now in an
extremely responsible situation. Responsible for the people, but now
more than ever before responsible for not risking the relatively
peaceful situation (sorry for that at this point, this has been a
serious, very harmful attack, but I believe that the situation might
possibly become much much worse) in the world. I believe that we are
faced with the severe danger of entering a war scenario which might
spread to an extent involving more than just possibly two nations
(speculating here that this is a case of state terrorism).

In my opinion, it is absolutely necessary to keep calm and analytic. Let
me tell you here that honestly many people here (meaning in my very
near, but I think this what many people all over europe think, sorry for
unadvertedly reading other peoples minds) are in very deep concern about
the way things will go. This does, apart from any considerations about
politic locatability (this word might not exist, hope you comprehend
what I mean), mean we are looking with much concern at what actions
George W. Bush is going to take.

We are following as closely as we can what is happening in the world,
which is difficult as many http servers are heavily overloaded.

## Just listening to the radio: Both israelian and paletinean officials
have very expressedly condemned the occurrences. The Taliban officials
have demented an involvement of the internationally searched terrorist
Osama Bin Mladen. ##
