We are needing to modify /etc/rc.network so as to replace ypserv with an alternate NIS server (ypldapd). Obviously, we'd prefer not to muck with that file directly. Looking through /etc/defaults/rc.conf for NIS options reveals there isn't a setting a la "nis_server_program", which would make this easier. So...any suggestions on how to cleanly achieve our goal, without mucking up system configs and without creating a scenario that will get blown away via mergemaster ? Thanks in advance. -- ------------------------------------ Robin P.
