Hopefully no one will shoot me, but I found that OpenBSD had some great examples for ipf rules. You can find them here: ftp://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/src/share/ipf/ I looked around in my FreeBSD share directories but did not find them. I suggest that you look through the examples before trying to read the man pages.
