previously, i ran 2.2.5-RELEASE, with mgetty and stock pppd.
dialing from Livingston Portmaster to FreeBSD
previous configuration worked fine.
currently using user-ppp, which works fine.
configuration with 3.3-RELEASE, using same config files results in:
