You should probably use the advisories on FreeBSD's ftp mirrors, in
particular:

ftp://ftp.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/CERT/advisories/FreeBSD-SA-01:33.ftpd-glob.v1.1.asc

which has updated instructions.
