In case you didn't know, the FreeBSD.org lists are running on postfix and
majordomo :)

It sounds like you've got majordomo setup incorectly - make sure the wrapper
is running as a user that has read access to majordomo.cf.  The only
breakage that I've heard about with running postfix+majordomo is the "approve"
command, documented at: http://www.postfix.org/faq.html#majordomo-approve
