I'm sure that Soren would be happy to work with you on this. I certainly agree that syscons shouldn't screw up your screen, especially when pcvt deals with it correctly. I can also build 3.0-SNAP boot floppies quite easily to test things right now (I have the whole build tree lying there taking up space), so that's another testing resource. Let me know.
