Urf. Well...I don't know then. There's no easy way to tell from observing the behavior of the kernel (as has been discussed ad nauseum on this list already). So all I can suggest is to look around for files (maybe in /etc?) that have CVS timestamps after the date of the MFC of the new dirpref code. Good luck, Bruce.
