mango% cat makefile
a:
[ -f /tmp/nosuch ] && echo hi

mango% make a
[ -f /tmp/nosuch ] && echo hi
*** Error code 1
Stop.
mango% make b
if [ -f /tmp/nosuch ]; then echo hi; fi
