Hello, when I'm starting FreeBSD 4.2 it takes a while because there seems to be a problem. It says: Apr 1 17:47:23 moritz /kernel: Mounting root from ufs:/dev/ad0s1a Apr 1 17:47:23 moritz /kernel: ad0: READ command timeout tag=0 serv=0 - resetting Apr 1 17:47:23 moritz /kernel: ata0: resetting devices .. done Apr 1 17:47:23 moritz /kernel: ad0: READ command timeout tag=0 serv=0 - resetting Apr 1 17:47:23 moritz /kernel: ata0: resetting devices .. done Apr 1 17:47:23 moritz /kernel: ad0: READ command timeout tag=0 serv=0 - resetting Apr 1 17:47:23 moritz /kernel: ata0: resetting devices .. done Apr 1 17:47:23 moritz /kernel: ad0: READ command timeout tag=0 serv=0 - resetting Apr 1 17:47:23 moritz /kernel: ad0: trying fallback to PIO mode Apr 1 17:47:23 moritz /kernel: ata0: resetting devices .. done This whole process takes nearly one minute and I was wondering if this normal behaviour for FreeBSD... If not, how can I solve correct this error?
