FreeBSD 3.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 3.2-RELEASE #3
>Description:
when connecting any NIC that used the de0 adapter (i.e. kingston, adtron)
there was connectivity but not completely. this can be explained by saying that the box
had connectivity while pinging outside hosts, but not when it was listening
this was fixed by putting in another nic using the generic ed0 device.
>How-To-Repeat:
find a BSD computer that uses the de0 device driver and tell me
how it is functional without giving the link down: cable problem
every 25 seconds
>Fix:
used another nic
