  In the latest FreeBSD release (12.1), as well as in FreeBSD-CURRENT, netm=
ap
(applications included) is (mostly) aligned to the current github code.
It is aligned to early 2020 (not to 2016).
The latest changes not yet in FreeBSD-CURRENT will be merged asap (but I do=
ubt
that's what you are looking for right now).

Please don't use the code from the github on FreeBSD, as I am actively
maintaining netmap in the FreeBSD src tree. If you want to use the netmap
applications, just go to /usr/src/tools/tools/netmap and build them with
`make`.
